CDD/EDD Officer, AML Advisory Team - Banking Industry

Description

Our client, a large-scale and renowned Chinese Bank, is hiring a AML Compliance Officer to join their Legal and Compliance team in Kowloon Region office. It has over 90 years of history in Hong Kong and was recognized as second largest bank in the world by market capitalization. This is a Banking Role in which a great multi-cultural experience will be gained.

Responsibilities

Assist in CDD and EDD cases review (for corporate banking and/or retail banking ) for customer risk assessments with High risk factors which required AML Compliance concurrence
Check the front line KYC documents and properly conduct risk scoring
Assist and prepare the ground work to the AML-related issues account opening and exceptional approval
Conduct EDD from internal database on the customers requesting concurrence
Handle/ prepare the ground work on risk assessment on reassessment or account opening cases
Assist to prepare AMLCC material, Ad-hoc project(s)/ task(s)

Qualifications

Degree holder or equivalent
2-3 years EDD experience in financial institutions and/or regulatory bodies will be an advantage
Possession of good knowledge on banking operations, products and services will be an advantage
Self-motivated, independent with good communication and interpersonal skills
Good command of both spoken English and Chinese
Proficient in PC skills including MS Word and Excel
Attentive to details, compliance and control oriented, diligent and proactive
Immediately available will be an advantage
